The terms of using Loam
Loam is an app you install on your phone to keep track of your own wealth and expenses. Installing it means you accept what follows. Last updated 13 September 2026.
Your licence
You may use Loam on the devices your app store account allows, for your own purposes. The app itself, its name and its design remain ours. Do not resell it, take it apart or work around the subscription.
Trial and subscription
The first 30 days are free and need no payment details. After that Loam costs $30 a year or $3 a month. Subscriptions are sold and renewed by the App Store or Google Play, and they handle payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds under their own terms. Cancel any time in your store account; the subscription runs to the end of the period you paid for. Your data stays on the phone whether you subscribe or not.
Figures and projections
Loam shows what you told it, valued with public figures from third parties. Those figures can be delayed or wrong, and Loam does not verify them. Forecasts are arithmetic on long-term averages and assumptions you choose, not predictions. Nothing in Loam is financial, tax or investment advice, and no outcome is promised. Decisions you make with it are yours.
Your data is yours to keep
Because Loam holds your data on your phone and not on a server, we cannot recover it for you. Keeping device backups on, and exporting when it matters, is up to you. How Loam handles data is set out in the privacy policy.
Liability
Loam is provided as it is, without warranty. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that follow from using it, including lost data or decisions based on its figures. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid in the last twelve months. Nothing here removes rights your local consumer law gives you.
Changes and ending
Features may change as the app develops, and these terms may be updated; the date above says when. Continuing to use Loam after a change means you accept it. You can end this at any time by deleting the app.
